His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark led the inauguration of the first Inbicon plant to publicly showcase its technology for turning straw into ethanol. For more see Inbicon News and Projects Ethanol dehydration in Trinidad23 Oct 2009 Trinidad & Tobago based EthylChem Ltd. are setting up a dehydration facility to process ethanol imported from Brazil. The plant will remove water from hydrous fuel grade ethanol and the dehydrated product will be exported to the US. The plant is currently installed at Pointe-a-Pierre, Trinidad with a capacity of more than 1 million litres per day. Vogelbusch USA provide the molecular sieve dehydration technology for the facility. See Projects Vogelbusch USA has also taken an order for a dehydration plant from Cosmo Oil Company Ltd. in Japan to be completed in 2011. Almagest alcohol plant construction well under way11 May 2009 The new production facility for beverage alcohol plant of Almagest AG is growing fast. Start-up is scheduled for summer 2009. See Projects Energy efficient technologies18 March 2009 Greenhouse gas emission savings in ethanol production was the topic of a presentation held by Vogelbusch at the World Biofuels Markets conference in Brussel, Belgium. The minimum GHG reduction targets for biofuels in the EU have been set at 35 percent less than from fossil fuels, gradually rising to 60 percent for new producers after 2017. Cutting process energy consumption plays a key part in modern bioethanol plant design because it is tightly connected to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in production.
