Energy efficient technologies

18 March 2009

Greenhouse gas emission savings in ethanol production was the topic of a presentation held by Vogelbusch at the World Biofuels Markets conference in Brussel, Belgium. The minimum GHG reduction targets for biofuels in the EU have been set at 35 percent less than from fossil fuels, gradually rising to 60 percent for new producers after 2017. Cutting process energy consumption plays a key part in modern bioethanol plant design because it is tightly connected to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in production.  Download presentation
