 News & EventsSucessful ethanol plant start-ups in the USA3 December 2008 Three state-of-the-art ethanol facilities designed by Vogelbusch USA Inc. have been commissioned during the past summer. Plants have been started up by Penford Products Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by Altra Biofuels Indiana LLC in Coverdale, Indiana and by Cargill, Inc. at their agri-processing complex in Blair, Nebraska. For Cargill it is their second ethanol plant in Blair utilizing technology licensed by Vogelbusch. See Projects Inbicon begin work on demonstration plant in Denmark17 September 2008 Inbicon, a subsidiary of DONG Energy, officially started construction of their bioethanol demonstration plant in Kalundborg. With this plant Inbicon will demonstrate the conversion of residual biomass - straw - into ethanol. Inbicon has developed a proprietary cellulose process for the raw material conversion. Part of ethanol fermentation as well as distillation and dehydration process are provided by Vogelbusch. Performance test certificate signed for neutral alcohol plant in Iran01 August 2008 Sugar Cane & By-Products Development Co. has signed the Performance Test Certificate for their neutral alcohol plant in Ahvaz, Iran. The plant produces 110,000 litre alcohol per day from sugar cane molasses. The performance test was successfully conducted in March 2008. See Projects Vinegar fermenter for Portugal26 June 2008 Mendes Gonçalves, a renowned vinegar manufacturer from Portugal, has been supplied with a Vogelbusch vinegar fermenter to expand their production capacity in in Golegã, North of Lissabon by 15,000 liters per day. The new fermenter was integrated into the existing facilities in June 2008. The unit has passed the acceptance test and is now running well above design capacity. News Archive
