Vogelbusch has unique expertise in the three main stages of biotechnological processes.

1. Raw material preparation. Since the natural products that contain starch or sugar differ greatly, the technologies needed to use them as inputs vary, too. Vogelbusch has a wide array of strategies and processes for this purpose.
2. Fermentation. Here, the efficiency of the aeration system and the design of the apparatus drive process economics. Vogelbusch boasts a broad portfolio of highly efficient continuous and discontinuous fermentation systems that meet a vast range of requirements.
3. Purification and/or concentration of the end products. Well tried Vogelbusch separation processes include distillation, evaporation, ion exchange, chromatography, filtration, crystallisation, extraction and molecular sieve adsorption technologies.

Each of these process stages can also be offered separately, in which case it is fully compatible with upstream and downstream units.
