Broad raw material base
We are capable of supplying raw material preparation technologies tailored to the entire spectrum of available raw materials and the specific requirements of fermentation processes. All our processes are based on renewable inputs. They can use sugar crops, e.g.
- Sugar beet; or
- Sugar cane.
Or they can employ starch crops, e.g.
- Grain crops such as maize, wheat or triticale; or
- Cassava, sweet potatoes or potatoes
Often, the input materials are intermediate products or by-products of the starch and sugar industries, such as starch milk, hydrolysates, glucose, molasses, treacle or cane sugar.
All of the raw materials are analysed at our laboratory to determine their suitability.
Experience
Vogelbusch has vast experience of raw material preparation processes. For instance, we are expert in enzymatic starch treatment, and molasses treatment processes such as continuous sterilisation. An example of our innovativeness in this area is the Vogelbusch ion exchange process for the production of highly pure fermentation substrate.
