As part of a capacity expansion of the existing ethanol recovery plant, the production capacity at Octapharma Pharmazeutika based in Vienna was increased. The process engineering concept validation as well as the Basic and Detailed Engineering, delivery, assembly, and commissioning of the process plant were successfully carried out by VOGELBUSCH Biocommodities. The software programming was based on a validate programming description and was implemented in the existing control system. Additionally, a new cooling tower has been installed to also expand cooling capacity.
