Commissioning of the new bioethanol distillation, rectification and dehydration unit has recently started with factory acceptance tests (FAT) for the process control system software. The downstream unit replaces an outdated system at COFCO Bioenergy’s bioethanol plant in Zhaodong, Heilongjiang, the north eastern province of China.
Vogelbusch convinced COFCO Bioenergy with its advanced integrated system which enables remarkable energy savings by heat recovery. The DRD unit is realized in cooperation with Jilin Design Institute and COAG; the start-up of the plant is scheduled for autumn 2018.
